Am 1. Februar hat Draxtor Despres auf YouTube den dritten Teaser einer Dokumentation hochgeladen, die Ende April 2018 in voller Länge veröffentlicht wird. Die Dokumentation dreht sich um eine dreijährige Studie, die von der National Science Foundation finanziert und von der UCI, sowie der Universität von Oregon umgesetzt wurde. Die Homepage zu diesem Projekt ist hier zu finden.

Die Leitung der Studienrecherche hatten Tom Boellstorff von der UCI und Donna Z. Davis von der Universität aus Oregon. Der Titel der Studie lautet "Virtual Worlds, Disability, and New Cultures of the Embodied Self", was übersetzt in etwa "Virtuelle Welten, Behinderung und neue Kulturen der Selbstdarstellung" bedeutet.

Ich hatte zu diesem Projekt bereits etwas ausführlicher etwas zum ersten Teaser geschrieben. Deshalb wiederhole ich das hier nicht noch einmal. Und mein Beitrag zum zweiten Teaser ist hier zu finden.

Im dritten Teaser tauchen nun fast nur noch Personen auf, die man schon in den ersten beiden Previews gesehen hat, jedoch in Verbindung mit neuen RL- und SL-Aufnahmen. Und es kommen neue Protagonisten zu Wort, die beschreiben, welche Bedeutung Second Life für sie hat. Insbesondere in Verbindung mit ihrer Behinderung, welcher Art sie auch immer ist.
